Glendoria Jamison Recognized for Excellence in Records Management
Glendoria Jamison was the recipient of the Chapter Member of the Year Award from the Association of Records Managers and Administrators

Memphis, TN, March 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Glendoria Jamison, Records Retention Coordinator for Thomas & Betts Corporation's Legal Department, has been recognized as the 2010 Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Records Management. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.

As the records retention coordinator for Thomas & Betts Corporation, a manufacturing company that offers electrical components for industrial, commercial, communications and utility markets, Glendoria Jamison has extensively developed her understanding of the field of records management over the past 10 years. In her role, she develops, coordinates and monitors records retention, assists in the development and implementation of records retention, and organizes archival programs. She was responsible for the creation and implementation of the company's record retention schedule, and has overseen the destruction of records according to this schedule. Prior to joining Thomas & Betts Corporation, Ms. Jamison worked as a telemarketing sales professional for MCI WorldCom and as an assistant secretary for the University Center Director's Office at the University of Memphis.

Ms. Jamison is the holder of a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of Memphis, earned in 2008 and 1999 respectively. A member of the Association of Records Management and Administrators International and the Association for Information and Image Management, she was the recipient of the Chapter Member of the Year Award from the Association of Records Managers and Administrators in 2005.

A punctual employee who relates easily with others to resolve issues, Ms. Jamison credits her excellent management skills for her success in her professional endeavors. In her personal time, she volunteers for the Bloomfield Baptist Church's Homeless Outreach Ministry.
