Ebuyer customers choose to buy Stephen Fry a netbook for Christmas, according to poll.
Howden, UK, October 1, 2010 - Almost half of all respondents would buy a netbook for Stephen Fry for Christmas, according to the latest poll from Ebuyer.com.

HOWDEN, ENGLAND, October 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The leading online electronics retailer launched its poll over the first weekend of October and it produced some interesting results. 48% said that they would buy a netbook, a smaller version of the laptop, for Fry, who is renowned for his interest in technology.

The Ebuyer poll, designed to look into customer buying patterns at Christmas, also established that female customers and males over 50 like to spread the cost of buying gifts over the three months between October and December. Yet 18 - 49 year olds won't even think about shopping until the start of December.

When it comes to presents on our Christmas wish list, the Apple iPad still makes the mark, five months after it was launched. The iPad was top of 21% of respondents' wish lists, while a close 20% wanted a new laptop. For respondents over 50, a digital camera proved the most popular wished-for gift.

Surprisingly, the latest technology buzz word - 3D TV, fared badly when it comes to what people want for Christmas with little interest in both respondents between 18 and 34 and the over 50s.
