S-3D Gaming Alliance Meeting to be Held at Upcoming 3D Gaming Summit

TORONTO, CANADA, April 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Many see video games as the driver that will bring 3D to the home. The S-3D Gaming Alliance (S3DGA) is the first and only, non-profit and non-proprietary organization focused on making this market successful. The S3DGA is the event sponsor of the upcoming 3D Gaming Summit(TM) taking place on April 21st and 22nd in Universal City, Calif. and S3DGA's next meeting will be held at 5PM on the 22nd.

Blitz Games Studios, Electronic Arts, Jon Peddie Research, Sensio and more will give meeting presentations. Afterwards the S3DGA membership will review its updated goals and next steps.

"While stereoscopic 3D gaming now includes console, PC, and mobile devices; the industry is still very divided on direction, hardware support, quality expectations, standards, and more. As we continue to join forces and share ideas, we will work to correct this," said Neil Schneider, Executive Director of the S3DGA.

S3DGA members include Electronic Arts, Blitz Games Studios, LG Electronics, Real D, NEXT3D, iZ3D, HDMI Licensing, Sensio, and more. Advisory board members include Alan Price of Electronic Arts Canada, Jon Peddie of Jon Peddie Research, Neil Trevett, President of the Khronos Group, and Habib Zargarpour, Consulting Art Director for Electronic Arts' Need For Speed SHIFT.

This will be a private members-only meeting due to limited meeting space. Subject to S3DGA management approval, additional game developers and first time guests are welcome on the condition that they RSVP in advance by emailing members@s3dga.com. While the meeting will be closed to the media, interviews can also be scheduled in advance.

As an added bonus, pre-registered S3DGA meeting attendees qualify for a 30% savings on 3D Gaming Summit registration. Confirmed S3DGA members qualify for a full 50% savings. These discounts amount to approximately $250 to $500 in savings off regular rates. Discount codes will be made available when RSVPs are confirmed. 3D Gaming Summit registration is not required for S3DGA meeting attendance.
