COLLEYVILLE, TX, January 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The years list is out and the following are the top 10 resolutions for 2010 and some health experts have made statements over the past year that makes the e cigarette fall into at least two of the top 10.

Quit Smoking Now

Health-e-Cards for Holidays and New Year
This list, produced by the government has two entries that health care professionals, scientist, and harm reduction professionals have stated over the past year could be actively achieved by an estimated 46 million smokers in the US alone.
"We have every reason to believe the hazard posed by electronic cigarettes would be much lower than 1% of that posed by (tobacco) cigarettes. The testing guidelines in the current tobacco act (circulating through Congress) would represent a ban on electronic cigarettes, (yet) if we get all tobacco smokers to switch from regular cigarettes (to electronic cigarettes), we would eventually reduce the US death toll from more than 400,000 a year to less than 4,000, maybe as low as 400," states Joel Niztkin, MD, MPH, DPA, FACPM, Chair, Tobacco Control Task Force, American Association of Public Health Physicians.
As Dr. Niztkin stated, the harm would be reduced exponentially and could same millions of lives over the years, which is the point of choosing tobacco alternatives, and the e cigarette could be part of that with New Year's resolutions. The second part, which is savings, is also a side effect of choosing the e cigarette as an alternative.
"We have a savings calculator on our site that shows the average smoker can save around 800 dollars a year," states Kyle Newton, President of E Cigarettes Choice, and online retailer and e cigarettes wholesale distributor of the popular No 7 e cigarette. "It would also save millions and millions of dollars in healthcare for tobacco related illnesses, and when you start adding it all together, the amount that could be saved by the country itself is huge."
